Dr. Ashley Casida grew up in sunny Southern California, where her love for animals led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from Cal Poly Pomona. After graduation, her passion for veterinary medicine took her on an exciting journey to the West Indies, where she earned her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015.

Returning to California, Dr. Casida spent three years as an associate veterinarian, specializing in physical rehabilitation and pain management for dogs and cats. In 2017, she earned her certification as a Canine Rehabilitation Therapist through the Canine Rehab Institute, helping countless pets feel their best.

In 2018, Dr. Casida made the move to Arizona to be closer to family and quickly fell in love with the state’s natural beauty and tight-knit community. Since then, she’s focused on honing her skills in surgery and internal medicine, embracing the challenge of complex medical and surgical cases while also enjoying the occasional emergency case to keep things interesting.

Outside of work, Dr. Casida loves staying active by playing rec league slow-pitch softball, hiking, camping, and exploring Arizona’s beautiful lakes and rivers. At home, she and her wife share their lives with a lively crew of pets: three cats (Digit, Sully, and Mike) and two dogs (Whiskey and Frankie). Recently, she’s taken up gardening—though she admits that tending to animals seems to come more naturally than keeping plants happy!
